The Technology
AquaHike's filters are made up of 1000's of hollow fibre membrane tubes - the same technology used in kidney dialysis. Each tube contains 1000's of microscopic pores, each 0.1 microns in diameter. When dirty water enters the tube, clean water passes through the microscopic pores, while bacteria, parasites, sediment, dirt and other contaminants are blocked from passing, due to their size. This results in safe drinking water passing through, cleaning the water as it filters. AquaHike's filters are capable of removing 99.9999% of bacteria and parasites (including Cryptosporidium, Giardia, E.Coli or more).
What Do Water Filters Remove?
AquaHike's filters are capable of eliminating 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and parasites from non-salt water sources that make you sick or ill (including Giardia, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Salmonella). The 0.1 micron pore size, will remove anything bigger than this; although it won't remove salt, chemicals, dissolved solids or viruses smaller than 0.1 microns.

Quick Start Guide
We've designed each of our water filters with simplicity in mind, to make it easy for you to access clean water anytime you're outdoors. The Straw filter can be used as a straw, drinking directly from a natural water source. You can also attach the filter onto a regular soda bottle, to reuse old bottles while filtering on-the-go. The Flow bottle filter has a replaceable filter built in. Just unscrew the lid, collect water in the bottle, reattach the lid and filter away.
